Marina Bleahen, Founder and CEO of BusinessWorks, is an accomplished professional business coach and trainer with a passion for helping business leaders and their teams succeed.

Marina, a former global brand director in Pharma, has spent the last two decades helping organisations transform their success from “good” to “GREAT” using the philosophy from the Good to Great –  a book by author Jim Collins.

Bleahen and the BusinessWorks team focus on igniting the passion in business leaders and their teams, to demand more from themselves driving the message ‘the good is the enemy of great and we were put on this planet to be the very best we can be, mediocrity is not an option.’

Working within a cross-section of industries & organisations during the last recession as the Managing Director of ActionCOACH,  Bleahen found that some leaders and teams get ‘stuck’ and find it difficult to execute the business plan and strategy.  This motivated her to research why some organisations excel and others don’t.

She quickly discovered the answer is “CULTURE”  and she joined global experts in Culture and Leadership, Partners in Leadership (PIL) and Engage & Grow.

Partners In Leadership work with half of the Fortune Top 50 companies, helping them deliver success through optimising culture.

“One could say you can bring a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. BusinessWorks exists to accelerate team performance through building a culture of positive accountability and leadership to achieve results i.e. putting salt in the water,” claims Marina

BusinessWorks has also developed & launched the LACE methodology (Leadership, Accountability, Culture, Engagement and Employee Excellence). This is when BusinessWorks team transforms the cultures of organisations from being mediocre or average, to being excellent and high-performing.

A highly experienced professional business coach having graduated from The Smurfit Business School, Bleahen led the ActionCOACH business as Managing Director for more that a decade where she and her team delivered highly effective coaching and training to businesses in Ireland.

During that time, Bleahen found that it was relatively simple to help business achieve financial results in making more sales and profits, the transactional end of business.

However, she quickly realised that it took more than a financial growth strategy to maintain business growth and success which set her on a mission to partner with global leaders in the provision of corporate training and coaching.
